Alistair Davey ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Social Journal mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, how it is used, and the choices available to you.

Information We Collect

The App uses Android's Accessibility Service to record, for social media apps you use:

• The name of the app opened
• The amount of time spent in that app

The App does not read, record, or otherwise access the content displayed on your screen, and it does not collect any other personal information such as your name, email address, contacts, messages, or browsing activity.

How We Use Your Information

The information collected is used solely to power features within the App itself:

• Generating your Journal entries
• Producing the graphs and usage statistics shown in the App

Data Storage and Security

All data collected by the App is stored locally on your device. We do not operate servers that receive, store, or process this data, and it is never transmitted off your device unless you choose to export it yourself.

You can export your data at any time from the Settings screen. You can permanently delete all stored data at any time from the same screen.

Data Sharing

We do not collect, sell, or otherwise have access to your data. Because all data remains on your device, there is nothing for us to share with third parties.

Your Rights

Because your data is stored only on your device and never leaves it, you have direct and complete control over it at all times. You can:

• View the data the App has collected, within the App
• Export your data from the Settings screen
• Delete your data from the Settings screen
• Revoke the App's Accessibility Service permission at any time via your device's Accessibility settings, which is also linked from the App's Settings screen

Children's Privacy

The App is designed to help users understand their usage of social media platforms, which generally require account holders to be at least 13 years old. Accordingly, the App is intended for users aged 13 and over, and we do not knowingly direct the App at children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and the "Last updated" date above will be revised accordingly. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
